Whether it’s because it’s Monday or simply because you’re feeling out it. Here are a few things you could do to start your day right.
*Start your day right with a grateful heart, a little prayer, morning affirmation to set the tone of the day.
*Get up and Make Your bed. Most of us wake up and go on our phones first thing in the morning. I know I do that which isn’t a good habit honestly but we’ll work on fixing that. But anyways for the days I don’t stay in bed longer than I should, I normally wake up, and immediately make my bed and that already makes me feel better. The reason I make my bed is to avoid going back in.
*Have a glass of water. This is a habit I’ve had for a while and sometimes when I don’t it really does feel odd. Having a glass of water first thing before anything else really does something. I’m sure it cleanses your insides, also my mom will be extremely proud to hear of this. You could add a slice of lemon in it to make it even more refreshing. Stay hydrated at all times.
*Have a hot drink and breakfast. Some people cannot function without their morning coffee or tea. If you are one of those people then make sure you have your boosting morning drink to start off your day right. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day,I say this yet I barely have breakfast but I do know the importance of breakfast. So whether it’s a piece of toast, some cereal or a full on English breakfast, have some breakfast.
*Move Your Body. Workout if you are able to, I would really love to become one of those people who cannot go without a morning workout. We’ll get there eventually but a morning workout can set you right for the rest of the day.
*Have a to-do list. I don’t know about you guys but I absolutely love making lists. Whether it’s on my phone or on paper, lists help me stay organised for sure. So write down your daily tasks to have better control of what you need to do and less distraction even though that’s unavoidable the list will definitely keep you on your toes.
*Take Care of Yourself. Make yourself look good because if you look good, you feel good. I don’t know who said this but I feel like this is my new motto. And I totally agree. Whether you are working from home or away from home, your appearance could encourage your work pace and motivate you a little. Well I know for a fact it works for me. So have a shower or a bath whichever you prefer,pick an outfit, brush your hair and make sure you look good and ready for the day.
*Clear your workspace. I don’t know about you guys but my surrounding really affects my motivation and ability to work. If it’s a mess best believe I won’t be able to concentrate properly. So make sure your work space is tidy and set in a way that’s going to help you get through your To-do list.
