#BlogmasDay9: Practicing gratitude

Hello beautiful people.. Happy holidays and Merry Christmas. I hope you’ve had a blessed Sunday.

I would like to talk about something that’s been weighing on my heart. As the end of the year is approaching, I’ve already had loads of reflecting moments. I’ve realised this happens at the end of every year, I mean it’s almost normal to look back and reflect. What’s been weighing on my heart is the importance of being grateful. We get so used to our lives, accommodate to the luxury and easily forget that in an instant everything can be gone or that not everyone is as fortunate. Personally I’d like to get in the habit of genuinely being grateful for the smallest thing as simply drinking clean water. Waking up everyday, leaving the house and making it back safely is such a blessing. Having a roof over my head, food on the table, clothes on my body, simply breathing is a blessing. Not everyone is fortunate to have half the things we have or the things we have gotten used to having. I want to get in the habit to be grateful for EVERYTHING.

I am grateful for my life

I am grateful for my family

I am grateful for my house

I am grateful for the ability to complete Higher education

I am grateful for the losses, the battles I’ve faced

I am grateful for my faith in Christ

I am grateful to God

I am grateful for my experiences and life lessons

I am grateful for my friends

I am grateful for my blog, my followers and readers

My lists goes on, basically I just want to encourage each and everyone of us to make it a priority to remind  ourselves what we are grateful for daily. Make it a habit, I personally feel it will help us appreciate everything we have, everything we’ve had and everything we will have. As Christmas brings family, friends and loved ones together, let’s remember the ones that aren’t able to spend this time with their loved ones and in turn make the most of this time we are spending with our loved ones.

What are you grateful for?

In the spirit of being grateful, I am so grateful to have a platform I can freely share my thoughts and interest. I am grateful for the fact that you’ve taken to time to read this post and I hope in one way or another I’ve encouraged you or simply made you smile.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
