Hello Beautiful People and welcome back to my blog. It’s no surprise  that we are already layering and bringing out thigh-high boots, chunky jumpers, scarves and hats because it’s currently freezing in the UK. It’s not Autumn it’s Winter!! The switch from Hot Girl Summer to Layer Up Winter literally happened over night. Maybe since leaves are still falling we’ll take it and accept this so called version of Fall, as you can tell I’m not the biggest fan of cold weather. Yes, I have been in the UK for a while and lived the coldest winters yet and I’m somehow still not used to it. However this time I’ll take it upon myself to suck it up and make the most of it. If I look at it as challenge and as content  material, I’ll probably have more fun and before we know it, it will be Hot Girl Summer Part 2!!!!

With that being said, I did a Fall photoshoot inspired by @thesundaychapter on Instagram. Her feed is amazing, be sure to check her out. She changed her feed theme to a fall inspired vibe and I absolutely loved it. I then decided to quickly put together two outfits I felt fit the season and the pictures turned out so much better than I expected. So here is the start of #LayerUpWinter and still look cute.

Outfit #1  Shades Of Brown

This outfit is definitely my favourite. I got this warm light brown turtleneck jumper from Zara last winter, which I paired with a checked black and brown skater skirt that I’ve had for the longest time purchased from New look, I didn’t want to wear tights so I wore stockings instead and black thigh-high boots from Primark. The fur coat is from Dorothy Perkins and the cute beanie is from my mom’s wardrobe haha thanks mom. This is more of a girly look which is my kind of fit. I feel like this outfit works for both a day and evening look.

Outfit #2 A Little Khaki Affair

This outfit has more of a casual vibe to it, it’s not very girly but I liked the combinations. I got this chunky turtle neck jumper from my mom, I love the belt details on the side and the asymmetric cut, longer at the back and shorter at the front. Like the other jumper it’s super warm, I paired this jumper with some khaki cargo like trousers that I got from Zara during the summer, with my black thigh-high boots (these will be making an appearance this winter coz tis the season). I wanted to keep the boujee girl vibes so I wore the same fur jacket from Dorothy Perkins.  I loved the colour combination, the fit, and most of all the it was super comfortable. This is definitely more of a cinema date, lunch date, day out shopping, casual date kind of outfit.

I love both outfits and also love how they matched with the rustic vibes outside. I will definitely be wearing both outfits this autumn/winter. What I loved the most is the fact that I simply needed to go through my wardrobe to find pieces and make outfits. Although I felt the need to purchase the “Must have Autumn Items” I already owned autumn items. I think I’m going to dig deeper in my wardrobe for more pieces to create more outfits for this winter.

PS: After doing this shoot, I can say autumn is a beautiful season and I have actually began to appreciate the beauty, the gorgeous leaves, the wind, the rain, not so much the cold but every now and then the sun peaks through and it’s absolutely gorgeous.

I hope you enjoyed this little #FallLookBook and hope I’ve inspired you to dig in your wardrobe, get creative and empty those shopping carts online.

Looking forward to more fun winter looks.

Shoutout to @KwamsLenses for capturing these beautiful pictures, check him out on Instagram to see more pictures from this shoot.
